What is the Ottawa housing market like right now?
In September 2026, OREB reported 1,010 homes sold citywide in Ottawa, down 6.6% from September 2025, with a median of 27 days on market and a sale-to-list price ratio of 97.5%. Active listings were 4,813, up 7.9% from a year earlier.

Single-family months of inventory was 4.4, and 4.8 for all homes, up from 4.1 a year earlier. OREB said the sales-to-new-listings ratio of 34.5% was the lowest September result of the past decade.
